About Me

I'm Ian, a software and game developer specializing in developing games and tools in the Unity Game Engine.

I worked for over 10 years as a production operator at FexEx Office before returning to college to pursue my dream of becoming a professional game developer. Graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (GPA 3.86, Cum Laude) from Western Washington University in 2022, I've since worked on several solo projects targeted at further developing my programming and game development skills. The two most significant projects I've produced are my Space Sim game and a my ACE UI Toolkit. These projects have had a huge impact on my learning, and I'm looking forward to joining a great game/tools dev team where I can apply that knowledge and learn so much more!

As a life-long gamer with a love for the art, I have an insatiable curiosity for how things work and I am at my best when riding the momentum of a deep dive into a problem. I am fascinated by the outcomes of interacting systems (especially the unexpected ones!) and I strive to understand how to mold those interactions into surprising and meaningful experiences.

When I can pry myself away from my current passion project, you'll find me playing PC or PS5 games, watching good-bad (and occasionally just bad) movies with my best friend/wife Tiffany and our adorable cat Autumn, and going on hikes to explore the always-beautiful Pacific Northwest.
